Good to know
The questions people ask me most about working with a Montreal travel agent, answered plainly. If yours isn't here, just send me a note and I'll happily walk you through it.
Working together
No. The hotels, resorts, and cruise lines pay me a commission, so my help is built into the trip, not added on top. You get the same prices you'd find on your own, plus an expert looking out for you the whole way.
The hotels, resorts, and cruise lines pay me directly, the same way they pay the big booking sites. The difference is that you get an actual person who knows your trip, instead of a call centre. You get an expert at no added cost. That's just how the industry works.
My planning is built into your trip, so for a standard booking there's nothing extra to pay for my help. A few specific situations do involve a fee, and I'll always tell you before anything starts:
Flights on their own. If all you need is a flight, with no hotel, cruise, or package attached, there's a flat $150 to find and book it, because airlines don't pay advisors a commission the way hotels and cruise lines do. Flights that are part of a trip I'm already booking for you don't have this fee.
Custom and multi-destination trips. These take real hours to build well, so they carry a planning fee priced to the trip. I'll quote it before any work begins, and I only take on a handful of custom trips each month so every one gets the attention it deserves.
Getting started. New plans begin with a $150 deposit, so I know we're both serious about making the trip happen. When you book within a month of your first quote, the full $150 comes back to you, so booking with me costs nothing extra. The only time I keep it is the rare case where I build a full plan and the trip never goes ahead.
You'll never pay more than one of these at a time, and a standard package booking has no fee at all.
Three simple steps. You tell me about your trip with a quick form or a note. I pull together options that genuinely fit you and walk you through them so the choice feels easy. Then everything's booked and organized, and I'm right here if anything comes up before or during your trip.
Me, on both counts, with one small thing to know. Almost everything between us (the planning, the questions, the little updates) comes straight from me at hi@kayliemorrelltravel.com. When it's time to actually book, I do that through Expedia Cruises, the agency I work with, so your booking confirmation and payment will show the Expedia name. That's completely normal, and it's a good thing: it means your trip has the backing and protection of one of the largest travel companies in the world, with me as your single point of contact the whole way through.
Usually within 24 to 48 hours, often sooner. I read everything that comes in and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. If you reach out on a weekend or a holiday, it might take me a little longer, but I'll reply as soon as I'm back at my desk.
I'm based in Montreal and I work with families right across Quebec and anywhere in Canada. Most of our planning happens by email, phone, or a quick video call, whatever's easiest for you, so we never have to be in the same room to plan a wonderful trip. And we can do all of it in English or French.
The trips I plan
Cruises, Disney and theme parks, all-inclusive getaways, custom and multi-destination trips, and group travel like destination weddings, reunions, and milestone celebrations. The common thread is the kind of trip that takes real planning to get right, which is exactly the part I enjoy.
Yes, and they're some of my favourite work. I'm a former wedding planner, so big groups and destination celebrations are right in my wheelhouse: room blocks, group rates, welcome events, and keeping everyone organized so the chaos doesn't land on you.
Absolutely. You can browse and book cruises and vacations through my online storefront any time, and it still supports my business. Have a look at the cruise deals or vacation packages, and if you'd rather have me handle it, send it my way.
And here's the nice part: even when you book through one of my links, I'm still on call for you. If you need to make a change to your trip, or something comes up while you're away, you've got someone to call. You're not left on your own.
The details
Yes. When flights are part of a package or a trip I'm putting together for you, they're included with no extra fee. If all you need is a standalone flight, there's a flat $150 booking fee, since airlines don't pay a commission.
I always recommend it, especially for bigger trips and anything with flights. Things happen, and it's a small cost for real peace of mind. I'm happy to talk through your options when we plan.
That's exactly when having me matters most. If a flight shifts, a plan changes, or you just have a question while you're away, you reach out to me instead of waiting on hold with a 1-800 number. I'm on call before and during your trip.
Fill out the quick form to tell me about your trip, or email me at hi@kayliemorrelltravel.com. There's no pressure and nothing to commit to, just a good first step.
Ready when you are
Ask me anything. I'd rather you reach out than wonder, and there's never any pressure to book.
